Beginner to overclocking

Hey guys built my first pc, this is my build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hXGKgs, and I was wondering if I should bother overclocking right now or rather should I set it at a "sweet spot" or just leave it alone. I'm new to this so I don't want to screw anything up. Also, could anyone recommend a good read on this subject for beginners? Thanks.

Awesome. Thank the both of you for the articles, I definitely want to learn more about this and what my PC is capable of. How do you get that FPS counter I see in videos when people show you how their build is handling a game and what free software can I use for a stress test? Thanks again.

Nice build!

For stress testing you can go with a few options. I like to use Prime95 for CPU and Unigine Heaven for GPU. But I don't like using very intensive applications. There's also LinX, Furmark, SiSoft Sandra, OCCT, 3dmark, and plenty of others.
