Currently thinking of upgrading my gaming computer to make it possible to play the upcoming game, Witcher 3. As of right now, my computer meets the minimum gpu requirements with a Radeon HD 7870 and a little above the minimum cpu requirements of a Phenom II X4 940 with my AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ . I've been thinking of upgrading my cpu to the AMD FX-8320E Vishera 8-Core 3.2GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ to alteast surpass the recommended requirements and a MSI GTX 960 GAMING 100ME GeForce GTX 960 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support ATX Video Card as well.

Now my problem right now is I really don't know how much more wattage my CORSAIR CXM series CX500M 500W can handle. I'm not sure if I need to buy a larger power supply to be able to support the FX-8320 and Gtx 960, or if maybe I should just stick with my Fx 6300 and 500W power supply, but with the GTX 960 and call it good.

My current pc build is:
-AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+
-CORSAIR CXM series CX500M 500W
-G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
-931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 ATA Device (SATA)
-ASRock 880GM-LE FX (CPUSocket)
ASUS VS208 (1600x900@60Hz)[MONITOR]
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7800(7870) Series (Sapphire/PCPartner)
-LITE-ON DVD Burner

Looked at Asrock and yes it is with the latest bios.

The CXM500watt should be fine.

Don't see the point of upgrading the cpu just for 2 cores extra, but maybe that game really needs it ... ,looked at game debate and hardly any difference between the cpu you have and the one you want to buy.
