Hi guys,

I had a pair of EVGA 780ti classified and had an issue with one of them. It was sent to EVGA and they replaced it..... unfortunately they replaced it with a different card. They sent me a 980 FTW.

Obviously I cant sli these, so my question is which is better? 980 FTW or 780ti Classified? Ill sell the other and buy an sli card with the money! (or should I sell them both and get a Titan?)

thanks for your help

That's probably the only time I'll ever hear "unfortunately... they sent me a 980 FTW"

The 980 is better than the 780ti

Titan is not really worth it for the price.

The 980 is the better card, but it would probably be cheaper to sell the 980 and get a 780ti for cheap. The titan is a good card but I would stick with the SLI setup. It will outperform the titan for cheaper.

Yes, 780ti SLI is going to be faster than one 980

Yeah that's what I was saying! That's the reason I sound a little ungrateful!

I think I would call them and tell them that you had your 780ti in SLI, and they sent you back a 980 for the defective one, and that since you cannot SLI the two cards you have now, that you want them to replace the other card with a 980 as well, and see what they say... LOL

Worse that can happen is they say no. Best that can happen is that they exchange it for you.

Just wanted to inform you guys in case anyone else is in the same situation.

I contacted EVGA and they agreed to replace my other 780ti for a 980. I recieved it today and they sent me a brand new sealed ftw! Happy days!
