My display goes blank after windows splash screen...

I keep getting blank screen after windows splash screen logon window. I am running windows 8.1. I have tried reinstalling windows but that did not solve my problems. I even tried downgrading to windows 7 but it did not help. After I hard restart 2-3 times windows will logon and I can use the computer. I even tried to add more power since I have two graphics card but I had the same problem, also sometimes windows will give the error "Thread stuck in device driver". I tried reinstalling the video drivers but the same problem. Please if somebody can help me......These are my specs:
Intel core i7 960
Asus p6x58d premium MB
16 Gb ddr3 ram
2XAti 5850 in crossfire
800 watt psu

HI dominirican, thanks for replying. I did what you said and I tested both gpus separately and they work fine and I don't get any blank screen. Also my cpu temp is max 70 degrees under max load
