Currently i have 2x4 GB 1866Mhz HyperxFury, and I dont know if I should sell this combination and get myself 2x4 GB of 2400 Mhz Ram or buy another 2x4 GB 1866 Mhz (then I`ll have 4X4 GB 1866 mhz)........What is better for gaming ?

Are you using close to the 8GB?

So RAM speed selection is dependent on the application. Most games don't benefit from faster RAM. There are a few, like F1, that can have a 10% performance increase. But for the majority of games there's less than a 1% difference. If you want faster RAM, it's better if your motherboard supports it.

My MBO supports higher ram speeds...The only game i care about now is GTA V, I wonder should I go for 16 gb 1866 mhz or 8 gb 2400 mhz ?

You didn't answer my question. Most games and I mean the vast majority of games won't cause the total system RAM to peak near 8GB. If you're not near 8GB, then there's no reason to buy more, unless you just want more.

There is another factor. You may have to play with the voltages to get the motherboard play well with 4 stick of RAM. It's usually suggested buy complete kits because there's no guarantee the kits will work together.

I`ll answer your question now. Before playing GTA V/Online, I close everything. My RAM usage is around 5900- 6000MB in singleplayer, and 6000-6200MB in Online, maximum maximum RAM usage is 6400MB. Is that okay (I have 2x4 GB 1866 MHz) ?
