Hi Guys, this is a build I am looking at buying.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/8ZzKLk

Can it do what I want it to do? Just a yes or no answer to the following questions would be great, just copy and paste the questions?

Q: Can I run older games (Skyrim, CoD: WaW, RAGE, Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite) on high/ultra settings with 60FPS+ whilst on Skype?

A:

Q: Can I run newer games (GTA 5, CoD: AW, Project Cars, BF4/Hardline) on Medium/High settings with 60FPS+ whilst on Skype?

A:

Q: Do day to day activities WITHOUT affecting gaming performance? (Download and watch movies)

A:

If you answered No to any of the above how can i improve the build? Or should it be improved to make it better?

Solution
That will easily run all the games and skype at the same time. No issues. You will easily max most all games at 1080p.

You will need a CPU cooler if you are overclocking, which you should be if you have a K series CPU.

Hi Tiny, just wondering, how future proof do you think this system would be? I wont need RAM as I have 8GB DDR3 ram already.

What I mean by future proof is will it run AAA titles in say 2017 or maybe 2018? On Medium/High settings (Im not a graphics freak, i dont even know what AA is) I know you can't predict system requirements for games 3 years away but an educated guess?

You shouldn't need to overclock. My GF is using an i5 2310 from 3 years ago and can still max games. Your GPU will need an upgrade way before the CPU. CPUs always have longer useable lives.

I REALLY doubt we will see 8 threads fully used anytime soon. Most games are STILL only using one "main" thread.
