My newish computer (6months old) has started to shut down and restart on me for some odd reason. It has only occurred while playing path of exile, which is a rpg game. This is probably just a coincidence, but i've never had it happen before on anything else.

I've ran stress testing stuff and never had these problems. I don't know what could be causing it besides a faulty PSU, which is annoying considering I have a $150 one, Corsair HX850 gold. It's pretty frustrating considering I don't have warranty on it anymore as well. I don't know what I could do to exactly find out if it's my power supply or not, anything helps.

I've ran MSI Kombuster to test the CPU and the GPU at the same time, both at around 100% load for 2 hours continuously with 0 problems, the game that is causing the problems never had my cpu and gpu at these levels before.

Also, I've looked at "recent events" in administrator tools, and it just says Critical/date/Source
Kernal-Power.

its not always the PSU that cause this problem....you might want to check on your RAM as well.....if you have multiple RAMs then take one out and run your system on the other one....by doing this, check all your RAMs...if the problem persists then do one more thing...de-assemble your system, clean it real nice(especially RAM slots)...put it all back and check again....if the fella does not show any improvement THEN only consider changing your PSU.

and let me know if it works or not.... :D :D
