Don't have many parameters in bios for overclocking shown in tutorials

Hi! I don't have many parameters in advanced section of bios, like cpu ratio control, cpu voltage etc. When I choose the manual option for overclocking, the help windows explains that the relevant parameters will be auto-adjusted if I just choose the frequency. Then no matter what changes I make in frequency, I get the overclocking failed message. Could someone please explain this?

how much did you bump the cpu frequency?keep in mind that the ram will also overclock with this machine so you will likely have to decrease ram frequency as well.

I tried 350, 400, 450, didn't work. Is there no way to get at least the cpu voltage option there. If this auto-adjustment thingy was reliable wouldn't it be in most bioses?

what was the stock frequency?its likely on that system that a lot of the bios is locked but what options do you get when you select cpu voltage? as to the auto adjustment,ive not found them to be reliable.

You mean CPU VTT? I have also CPU Over Voltage, and that's it. I get only 1.2 and 1.3V on CPU VTT.
You think I could unlock the bios somehow?

no way i know to unlock that bios,sorry.but if you could post the original cpu frequency before your boosted it to 350 etc maybe we can figure out at least a mild oc.

try increasing the frequency by 5 at a time,each time testing the oc.for older systems i use occt to do the cpu test.keep increasing by 5 until you get a fail on the test,then bring it down 1 at a time until stable.
