CPU- AMD FX8320 Vishera 8core 3.5GHz AM3+ 125W
Motherboard- MSI 970A-G43 AM3+ AMD970+ SB950 6X6Gbs
Memory- CORSAIR Vegeance Pro 16 Gb (2x8) 240 pin DDR3 SDRAM SSR3 1600
HDD- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 72000 RPM 64 MB cache 6.0 Gb/s
Video Card- ZOTAC ZT-90301-10m GTX 960 2GB 128 BIT DDR5
PSU- Rosewell ARC-750 750W +12V rail intel

I've read the manuals. Everything seems to be exactly where it should be. I turn the computer on and I don't hear any beeps from the buzzer. The fans and everything else seems to work fine. The cpu fan spins. The gpu spins. I plugged it into the monitor and the monitor didn't show anything but a black screen. I don't know what's wrong with my build.

It should post...no beep codes or anything, do you have boot up sequence lights on the board? any errors being displayed there? make sure all of your components are Installed/secured correctly.

I'm actually like really new around building computers so I don't really know what sequence lights are.
Last night I took a bunch of cords out and reseated my cpu. Took out my gpu. My ram. Then put all my stuff back in again and it still didn't do anything different.

I don't hear any beeps. I put the speaker on the motherboard. Maybe it doesn't work but it still doesn't explain why nothing shows on the monitor. I tried repositioning the speaker cause maybe it was backwards but it wasn't. The positive side is where it is meant to be.

Do you have a way of confirming that your monitor works? also are you securely plugging your monitor into your GPU?

My current computer works fine with the monitor, I unplugged it from that computer to this and it doesn't do anything. It's plugged into the back of the gpu just like it should be

I did what you said and I still didn't hear a beep. The cpu fan was running but nothing else changed.

Yes everything was unplugged expect the cpu and memory. Is my mobo broken or something? Even if the things connected to it work?

Nope :/ I just spent $1000 on my build being my first build. It's all brand new I don't understand how it could be broken.

I could try. I'm getting my uncle to come over and check it out. If he says the same I'll do it. I just would rather not open up another computer with my luck. I'd end up having none.

Is it possible I need a new motherboard?
If I get a new one and it doesn't work would I be able to take it back?
