How do i set my HDD to be the default drive for downloads etc. I would also like my "users" stuff to be on my HDD instead of SSD so it doesn't take up space.
In my users folder is app-data which is holding some of my programs: eg. Spotify.

I want my SSD to be literally only a boot drive and then whatever i want to save there... not it be my default and then i have to choose my HDD every single time i download something

Right. As they should.

Most applications default to installing on the boot (C) drive.
Most application also give the opportunity to install elsewhere.

However...installing applications on some other drive throws away a large part of having the SSD in the first place. You want them on the SSD, to take advantage of the speed. And most applications do not take up that much space.

My 120GB SSD holds ALL my applications apart from games. Currently ~75GB used space.

But...when you install something, you should never just accepts its defaults. Location is but one aspect. Often, some application wants to install some other crap, or change your browser toolbar, or change your default search engine.

Never just accept the defaults.
