Was wondering if this looks like a solid build for gaming?

I don't really plan on overclocking, although I went with the K model for the processor because the pricing is negligible to me. The CPU and the GPU can be upgraded later, so my main concern is the PSU and motherboard, and finally the overall build quality.

The only change I would make would be to move up to a 256GB SSD. Its amazing how fast we can fill a small SSD up.

Other than that, I like what you picked.

The motherboard is OK

The ram should be a 2 x 8gb kit rather than 2 2 x 4gb kits. One kit is guaranteed to work. But not with another kit.

Use a 2 x8 gig kit if RAM or just 2 x4 gig which will perform just as well in games .

If anything the build is a little cpu top heavy and graphics card light for a gamer .
If money is no option and you have a 1080p screen then move up to the GTX 970
