Black screen after Windows logo? (8.1)

Hi guys. Working on a computer recently and I just installed a GTX 480. Video output with the mobo without the card in works perfectly fine. But when the card is in, it shows the bios screen and Windows logo then it jumps to a black screen (dvi plugged into the graphics card). I've never had an issue like this before. Any help?

Win 8.1
CPU: Pentium G3258 @ 4.1
Gpu: GTX 480
PSU: 650 watt
Mobo: H81M- P33
RAM: 8 gb
Storage: 160 GB SSD

Downloaded latest Nvidia drivers, attempt to install (without card in) and it says it can't without the hardware detected. If I put the card in, I can't see anything but a black screen to download drivers.

Nope, the previous card was Nvidia. I feel like there is an issue with the integrated Intel graphics but I have it set to PEG on the mobo settings. Does anyone know if I should uninstall the Intel Smart technology or general Intel drivers?
