i have a 9500gt 1gb ddr2 and it runs fine and I want to upgrade to zotac gt 740 2gb ddr5 , here is the link -

Please anwser me ASAP whether it will work or not as i am very much confused.
 
Your Compaq PC's PCIe slots conform only to PCIe 1.1
Your existing 9500 GT was designed for PCIe 2.0 so it's performance isn't affected too much.

However, the Zotac GT 740 is designed for a PCIe 3.0 slot, therefore it's performance in a PCIe 1.1 slot will be bottlenecked considerably.

You need to stick with PCIe 2.0 cards otherwise you are just wasting your money and gaining very little (if anything at all).
