Which AMD radeon hd 7970?????

there are so many that are so similar and i get find anywhere that clearly shows one standing out.
I was thinking about the XFX radeonhs 7970 DD but i really dont know which one is the best, i am new so wont be overclocking that much.

Sorry I am going for a i5 4690k, mobo - Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7, psu - seasonic 620w 80 plus bronze, my set up will work with the amd radeon hd 7970 i am just wondering which one to get.

Stay away from the XFX DD cards, the coolers are poor, and why such an old card?

My brother had the radeon hd 7970 in his build and it played really well, if you have any modern alternatives that would fit to my mobo i would love more options if you think there is a better gpu for roughly a price around £300 - £350. The GTX 970 looks good what are your thoughts on that?

The equivalent of HD 7970 is the R9 280X actually,well GTX 970 is the best choice for 1080p and 1440p gaming for the price bracket,you can get the 290X for the same price range,and the GTX 970 has some decent offers on Gumtree where some people listed the card for 220 pounds

gtx 970 is faster than r9 280x/hd7970.
hd7970 is around the gtx 680 level.
