Recently had the power jack replaced on my laptop, and since then I've been unable to connect to the internet. Nothing I've tried has worked, and I can't even find the wireless in a search. Anyone got any ideas?

Solution
1st you want to check device manager in control panel. Under your computer name there should be network adapters. Check the adapters and if the wireless/WiFi adapter has a yellow warning sign next to it then chances are there is a problem with your drivers. You would want to uninstall the driver. Then you right click on your computer name and scan for hardware changes. The adapter should reinstall the driver. If this does not work then you should download divers for the adapter. Google the exact name of the adapter and download the dirivers for the adapter relevent for your windows version. Then uninstall the divers again but this time click (tick) the delete driver software for this device. You would then scan for hardware changes...

Right click the adapter and install the downloaded drivers, you might need to extract the file before you can do this. Another option is to uninstall and delete the divers and search the web for drivers. You will need to be connected via the ethanet cable for this to work. If you don't have an Ethernet cable, then you can use your phone or another device to download the drivers and transfer the file to install. The wireless network icon should now appear and you can enjoy your WiFi again.
Hope this helps
