hello guys,
I recently made my 1st mid range gaming pc, i have added every thing except the graphics card, coz i m afraid of the bottle necking issue , i want to buy the radeon r7 260x 2gb ddr5 graphics card. so will it fit for by build or bottle neck the cpu. my pc configuration is
GIGABYTE B75MD3H
INTEL PENTIUM G2030 @3.0 GHZ
KINGSTON HYPERX FURY 4GB 1600MHZ RAM
CORSAIR VS 550 PSU
WD CAVIER BLUE 500GB HDD
So will that radeon graphics bottle neck my cpu and how much or please suggest best radeon graphics card for my cpu so that i can play games at 1280*720 resolution at high setting.
thanks in advance

if your just gonna play a game who's requirements is a 'dual core' yes you can play them without any problems.

ok i will buy an i3 later but i recently bought this g2030 cpu. so i have to stay with this cpu at least for a year , i want to use that 260x now until i get money for cpu. can i play games by disabling AA. will it lower the bottle necking . what about the hd 7770 or the r7 250x.will my cpu bottle neck them also

you do know far cry 4 needs an i5 for minimum right? if he even plays fry cry in a g2030...can't even imagine what would happen.....

No, you're getting confused. Far Cry 4 originally would not run on a dual core chip. Now, it has been patched to run on a dual core chip with hyperthreading, so an i3 should run it fine. The OP isn't going to be playing FC4, I can tell you now. The issue with FC4 is CPU related, not bottleneck related.

The R7 260X is a budget gaming graphics card, and the G2030 is a budget gaming processor. They match up quite well.

Sorry about that. but i would disagree on the r7 as a budget i think a 6670 HD is a budget one. in an R7 you can atleast play new games in a medium to high setting. a 6670 in a low to mid setting, so in that logic..a low to mid setting video card would be a 'budget' but anyways back to topic. i still think a G2030 will still bottleneck he's system though.

Thank both of you for replying. guys at present i am using a radeon hd 5450 1gb ddr3 graphics card and i can play battlefield 4 on lowest setting (not very smooth but manageable ) but the battlefield 3 lags a lot. I have also read that battlefield 3 is a graphics hungry game. so i thought to upgrade my graphics . i have planned to play farcry 4 and the other high end games after getting an i3 .But can i play up to battlefield 4 and some 2014 games on that 260x or i have to go for the hd 7770 which is lower than the 260 both in price and performance.

The Pentium G2030 should be a good match for the R7 260X. As long as you have a 400W and up power supply (which you do), you should be fine to run it with only a very small bottleneck. You should be able to play most modern titles at medium settings, 1080p. With your current monitor you should manage high settings with ease.

With a Q8300 @ 2.63GHz and the 1GB R7 260X, I run BF3 at a solid 50FPS at low settings, but at 1080p. My CPU is considerably worse than yours, and my graphics card isn't very good with 1080p, so you should manage 720p high settings.
