Just purchased a desktop that is running linux mint 17.1 and the harddrive is formatted to fat32. I want to format to ntfs and install windows 8.1 pro student. The windows is download only which I am having problems with since I only have the new desktop with linux and a laptop with vista. Is there any tutorials you could reccomend or would anyone be willing to walk me through the process
thanks

Download the iso, use your favorite iso burner to create a bootable disk from it,
Download all the other win8.1 drivers for your laptop and copy them to another disk/usb.
Use the bootable disk to install windows reformatting the hdd in the process by clicking on 'drive options' when asked where you want to install windows to.
Install your drivers.
