Do I need to upgrade my i5 3570k?

OK, so I've played BF4 relatively regularly since last year, and throughout all the patches, I didn't really have many issues. But recently, I'm noticing something that used to happen every so often, to slightly more often - the game just freezing/crashing.

Game settings have always been maxed and @ 1080p, since I started playing it on a GTX 760 and later got a G1 GTX 980. So I made it a point to check some readings each time it's crashed with Afterburner, and noticed that while the GPU usage stays between 90%-98%, the CPU core 1-4 usages also hovers around the 87%-95% range.

Just after 2 consecutive crashes the Afterburner usage readings were:

GPU: 97%, and 92%

CPU1-4: [98%, 91%, 84%, 80%] and [95%, 94%, 82%, 80%]

So my question is, is my 3570K bottle-necking the 980?

Neither are overclocked, and the rest of my system is as follows:

i5 3570k (3.4Ghz-3.8Ghz)
Gigabyte G1 GTX 980
GA-Z77 LGA 1155
16 GB Crucial DDR3
Samsung 850 Pro 500GB
EVGA SuperNova 750W

Solution
"So my question is, is my 3570K bottle-necking the 980?"

Absolutely not. 3570K will remain viable for a few years to come. With everything pushing close to 90% there is no bottleneck and your system is operating at its peak. If things are getting hot it could cause freeze. You should be turning some good numbers for fps.
