So recently I got a computer, it's an AMD 4300 quadcore 3.80ghz, with 4gb ram, and a R5 230 1gb graphics card. I kind of figured it wouldnt run everything max settings, it shouldnt, but there's so many games that lag when I meet minimum specs its unreal. I've updated graphics cards and all, but its still an issue. Unless there's something I'm missing about one of my parts that would require the games to not run.

I want to upgrade the GPU but at the same time if its not necessary [I.E, fixable] then I'd love to just buy another stick of ram instead in the meantime. I checked can you run it and can run most games on recc, and almost all on minimum.

Would love help as soon as possible, have no idea what might be the problem in all honesty.

Well, that ram would really only help if its the same as the ram you have currently, or is better than it.

What about this one? It's made by other companies too but this is just the one I pulled up.

I wouldn't get an r9 270 if you only have a 350W PSU, you system would be using up 330Ws, and that's cutting it dangerously close since even the best PSUs are only "guaranteed" to run at 80% of their max output.

The 750ti will make your system only consume 239Ws so you'll be safe.
What games are these? Your system won't meet many minimum spec's on modern games. That isn't a gaming setup at all. While your CPU is weak, with only 4Gb of RAM (this can be a problem with new games), your R5 230 is the weakest link and is not meant to game on. R9 cards are the gaming cards. R7's are the low end gaming/media cards, and the R5 cards are just the very basic, get your machine to run cards and help a bit with media stuff.

So what do you suggest I upgrade to?
Basically everything. I know it's all weak, going to be replacing it all but what do you think I should start with. Like, what would be the best to replace to get the best speed out of the gate so I can at least game inbetween waiting for money to upgrade and stuff.

Any recommendations on what I should upgrade to? Preferably something budgeted.

Okay and would that card work for my 760gm P23FX?

I also have a GPU I can buy that has a ram piece bundled with it, GTX 750TI. Or would it be wise to just go straight for the R9 270? I also only have a 350 PSU rofl

If you only have 350ws than the gtx 750ti is the better choice because it consumes about half the power of an r9 270 while providing roughly equal performance. And yes both cards would work on your motherboard.

I don't know what you mean by a "a ram piece bundled with it" though.
