Hello, friends.
I'm having a very difficult time trying to connect to the internet through my PC. Every time I try to open up a browser I get the page "I.E. cannot display the web page". I've tried multiple browsers, but nothing seems to work. I'm typing this thread right now off of WiFi, and playing my Xbox through a hard line connection. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

PC: Dell Inspiron 530
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Router: PK5001A
ISP: Centurylink

Have you made sure that you're IP address is assigned automatically? To do this go to Network and Sharing Center (hit start and type that or right-click your network icon by your clock) > click change adapter settings (on left side) > find your connection, right-click > select "properties" > scroll down to highlight "Internet Protocol Version 4" > hit properties. Here you'll want to make sure that both "obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected. You can set these manually, but this is one of the most common places to mess things up. Sometimes malware even changes these settings.

Best of luck!
