Why is my ps4 lagging?

Hi! I own a ps4, and have recently not been enjoying it. With blazing fast internet, I used to play battlefield 4 without hiccup or lag! However, I tried playing minecraft and CoD ghosts (digitally downloaded) and the frame rate drops every minute or so. This is starting to piss me off. As a result, I'm selling my ps4 for an xbox one or alienware alpha...What should I do? :) thanks!

PS4 is graphically more powerful than both those consoles/pc

Building your own custom pc, or getting your ps4 fixed would be the best options.

The Aplha is great if you need that small form factor, and enjoy the benefits of pc gaming.

Xbox one i would only consider if friends had it, or you absoulutley need that halo.

maybe the hard drive is full? When mine was completely full i had load of problems, so I decided to just install a 1.5TB drive and it fixed all my problems. The digitally downloaded part tells me it's a drive problem. either it's full or failing.

the xbox one is worse off since you can't replace the hard drive and either your stuck with 500gb (aka 10 game installed) or get a external drive.

The alienware computer is okay but the "Steam machine" is only a i3 with a GTX 860M (basically a laptop) and none upgradable.

Most of my friends have xbox ones, but thats not a concern. Im also on the fence about the alpha, but I hear it cannot play any newer games at good settings...

I have about 250 gb left to use. The apha just seems appealing because of its backwards compatibility. I have really wanted to play a modded skyrim and this might be an answer. For xbox, the majority of my friends have them.

I have not changed any settings on ps4 and the memory and hard drive still have plenty of space. I looked online and some people are also having frame rate issues, but that might just be the system. Im considering an xbox one because frame rates are supposedly more stable.

I tried that a few days ago and still the same results. Im not sure if this is a hardware issue or just a bug :(
