I just bought a new motherboard (ASRock z77 Extreme 4) to replace my disfunctional Gigabyte z77 card.
I have everything plugged in the same as it was. Now however Windows 7 feels extremely sluggish. It takes almost 2 minutes to boot when originally it was be >30 seconds from my ssd. Also, it is rather slow with my applications I run.
Is it possible that changing the motherboard aggravated my hdd and ssd to the point where they don't want to run the OS properly anymore?
I can log in from the startup screen, and see my desktop, everything works, but much slower.
Should wipe it all and install windows 8?
Would a factory reset work to save the money?
Please help. I appreciate it.
Extra specs-
Asrock z77 MOBO
Intel i7 3770k
Corsair Vengence 8gb (x2)
Radeon HD 7870 2gb GPU.
Titan AzzA 1000w power supply
Corsair Water cooled heatsink
