Skyrim Crashing After Deleting Mods

Hi,
So, I have been installing mods ever since I got the game back in November. I have only been installing them through NMM, or I get them from Steam Workshop. However, I realized that my game was getting laggy and that whenever I tried to get into the Breezehome, the game will freeze during the load screen. This has been happening recently, so I decided to get rid of the texture mods that I have recently gotten, and I deleted them through NMM. However, now, the game was crashing as soon as it loaded. I decided to log off and log back in, as that has helped me before, and now the game is crashing as soon as the Bethseda logo comes up? Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone please help me? Sorry if this is a simple question, but I am new to all of this and I would like some help. I would like re-installing to be the last option, but if it comes to that I will do so.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, mods don't always uninstall cleanly, that's the risk you take when you use a buttload of them.
The only thing you can do is disable ALL your mods and start over adding them back in.
And testing each one to find out whether it crashes or not.
You'll also have to make sure your load order is correct as some mods can't load before others.

Ok, thanks. However, can I trace the mod which is causing me this problem? Because it is laggy, I feel like the problem has to be with a texture mod. However, I also have some followers that are supposedly 4K, and there are no other versions so I installed that. Is this a reason of the lag?

Also, I tried to install all the mods again, and once I did, I booted the game up. However, it still crashes

Ok, one more question. When you say to go through each mod, do you mean to select then unselect the mod, or to uninstall then install the mod?

Oh, and I have another Skyrim-related question. Before my game started to crash, I realized that all the children are missing. There isn't even a single child in the game. This happened suddenly, as there were children before, and the only child-related mod I had was the texture overhaul, which worked fine. Do you know how to solve this?

You could use console commands to respawn them all, but this is what happens when you go willy nilly with mods.
There is a problem with NMM and SteamWorkshop using different methods to install the mods, and that's where conflicts can arise.
They won't check with each other to see if they're breaking something. NMM at least warns you when you install a mod that you might be affecting another mod.

Thanks a lot! Doing this helped me get rid of all the mods I wanted to, reduce lag, and brought all the children back. Hopefully, I do not have any more troubles with this game. However, I am really thankful of all the help, so thanks!

It happens with skyrim, it's just kinda buggy.

Like today I had to use a console command to force a quest to continue because it wasn't properly recognizing that I was completing the next step.

Admirable
Also, Mod Organizer would work much better in solving this. Because of the way Mod Organizer handles mods, you don't actually install anything into the data folder, which means if this occurs you can just disable everything, and it would go right back to vanilla skyrim, and re enabling everything means checking a box. It's so much simpler, and I wish somebody had told me about it a long time ago.
