PSU connector doesn't fit in motherboard properly

The 24pin doesn't go in 100% my computer will turn on for 2 seconds and then turn off again one of the wires doesn't go in fully

When I put the 24pin connector in the fan and everything will turn on and then off in 2 seconds time I spoke to a technician he told to me to put the metal found in wires in the connector holes and try it but I am not sure
