I have a Toshiba Canvio Connect 1TB Portable Hard Drive that is only about 6 weeks old. It was working just fine until today when I plugged it in to my MacBook Pro, and a blue light was displayed on the drive instead of the normal white light. The drive icon never appeared on my desktop, as it usually does, then the blue light blinked a few times, and the hard drive went off. I even tried it on another computer to see if that made a difference, but the same thing happened. I contacted Toshiba tech support via a live chat, and they were no help at all..!! Is this a lost cause?? Is there anything I can do to fix this? Is it broken after only a few weeks?? or is this one just defective?? When I purchased this particular external hard drive, it had great reviews. What a disappointment!!!
