I recently decided to re download the original crysis on my fairly new rig and whenver I go to play the game when it starts up my gpu starts making an eary eeeeeeeereeeeeee and if i minimize the game it goes away. I checked my gpu temps and it hovers around 55 an cpu around 55
this only seems to happen when I play this game

Solution

Does it happen in certain game menu's when the fps is like 1000 too? Or when the fps is really high in game? If so it's probably coil whine and nothing to worry about, pretty much all cards have it.

ok sorry, I ment to put my gpu then I forgot. Its the EVGA gtx 770 4gb ftw edition w/ acx cooling. It seems to have stopped now but it was really weird and never happened before

An exclamation of maybe ho this happened would be great

hmm, ya it was happening in the main menu and as the game was launching I have shadowplay always running so it was displaying 5000 frames at the top right. I went and just started playing the game and it eventually stopped.
Thanks for clearing things up, was thinking somthing might be wrong with my card

No problem, it concerned me when I first got my 970, I'd never experienced it before.
