Normal Temperature? i5 4670k @ 4.1GHZ with 1.100 Voltage

I have the Corsair H100i GTX CPU cooler and I was getting up to 80c. I dont think this is normal

What temp idle? What temp gaming? - how measured?

80C for prime is to be expected. Only Prime 95 v 26.6 (or OCCT) should be used on your CPU.

The pump and fans are running fast.

Hi, thanks for replying. I am measuring my temperature via Core Temp. My CPU is overclocked currently to 4.2GHz @ 1.1 Voltage. I am using prime95 atm to test the overclock so my CPU is at 100% usage..not sure if when gaming the temp would still be at 80c since im sure the CPU wouldnt be at 100% usage all the time. At the moment my idle temp is: 35c and when gaming my temp is: around 55c measured using Core Temp and Speccy. I just thought 80c seemed a little high for prime95 but I guess not

You helped me alot, thanks. Also from what I read if I had another cpu other than haswell I could've gotten better temps?
