Hello,

Im from argentina and i bought an ASUS GTX 970 STRIX to update my computer.

The thing is that now i have to buy a new CPU and MOBO to support that GPU, and in here the options are limited.

I dont know much about motherboards, so i cant see much difference betwen the diferent models.

I dont intend to overclock anything but i would like to keep that option aviable if possible.

This is my build now:

- CPU: i7 4790k Haswell.
- GPU: ASUS GTX 970 STRIX.
- PSU: XFX 750w Bronze.
- 8 GB of RAM (2 4gb ddr3 1333 mhz Kingston).

And this are my options for motherboards (more expensive at the top):

- ASUS MAXIMUS VII RANGER.
- ASUS Z97-PRO.
- ASUS Z97-PRO GAMER LGA.
- ASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK2.
- ASUS GRYPHON Z97.
- ASUS H97-PRO GAMER Intel.
- SUS Z97-K/CSM.
- ASUS H97M-E.

I liked the ASUS H97 Pro Gamer because its cheap, and i intend to use te computer to play all new games, but i dont really know the difference so i dont want to pay for something that i dont need/want, and on the other hand i dont want to buy some mobo that later on i cant build on it (better CPU, another GPU...)

Wich one do you recomend for strict gaming?

to keep the OC option available you need to have a z97. also to sli or crossfire in the future your gonna need a z97 board. the z97-a isnt a bad choice. i dont think your going to do extreme overclocking so scratch the ranger out (its still an amazing mobo) i personally dont see the niche of the z97 pro so scratch that. I personally think you should get the pro gamer. if you do plan to do a heavy OC in the future, than the ranger is the board for you. So i reccomend z97 a, z97 pro gamer, and depending on certain circumstances the ranger. I havent heard much or have any experience on the other mobos so i cant talk about them much. But the sabertooth doesnt seem that bad.
