4670k overclock unlucky?

i see people can get 4.6 overclock with voltage at 1.26 but if i try 4.6 i need .133 and my temps for one core hits 95. i best i can get is 4.3 at 1.25 stale with temps around 75

Sounds about right. Also depends on your mobo, cpu cooler and psu.

what kind of after market CPU cooler are you using. you need to keep temps down to get a better overclock.

You have a better CPU than mine. I have to push [strike]1.35v[/strike] (sorry I meant 1.235v) for 4.5 ghz on mine.

Temps are a bit too high, what cooler do you have? I have a h105 and my temps at full stress loads max out at around 60C. It could be 5-10C lower but I prefer my fans at low RPM.

That's strange. you should not be getting 95c with the h100i. Buy some good thermal paste and put on a new layer.

Then looks like you were unlucky with your CPU. Is this temp using Prime 95? If so make sure its v26.6 - bit easier on your CPU and ram.

Sounds like you did get quite unlucky with your cpu.
My 4690k does 4.5ghz @ 1.238v
Your temps seem way to high for the cooler you have, i would re-seat the cooler with some fresh thermal paste, i was barely hitting 80c with a Noctua NH-D14 before i changed to a custom loop, this was using AIDA64.

i have 4.4 stable at 1.32 but max temps - core1 88 - core2 88 - core3 91 core4 - 79 but only been running for 5 mins so far

nvm i have 4.4 stable at 1.35 but max temps - core1 90 - core2 92 - core3 89 core4 - 80 after 10 mins so far
