Is upgrading fans like this okay on the Corsiar H100i?

Hi! Real quick here, I bought the H100i and the fans were running at close to 2500 RPM which made them really loud, so what I did was swap out the fans for the ones that came with my case and hooked them up to my case so I could just control the speeds from my case. Is this okay? The original fans were plugged into the water cooler, these are plugged into my case. Thanks!

Yes I know I could just have changed the RPM but it is more convenient to just be able to control them from my case whenever.

Solution
I would leave them plugged into the waterblock, and use corsair link to set the profile.
Just change the curve to balanced (1800RPM) or quiet (lower)

This should help with noise levels without harming temps too much.

The Corsair Link software straight up sucks, but you can change the behaviour of your fans in the software.

Also the fans are optimised for pressure, so screwing in a random air flow fan will work, but its not the optimal fan type for the job, you might loose a couple degrees in performance if you have done this. nothing too dramatic though.
