I recently built a pc and when i use it it works perfectly fine. The internet is quick and everything runs smooth but when i installed League of Legends i was expecting to play it at max settings but i can barely play it at 20 fps with very low settings.
My complete system is:
MOBO: ASRock H97M-ITX/ac
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual core Processor G3258 3.2 GHZ
PSU: EVGA 430W 80 plus power supply
Graphics Card: ASUS Radeon R9 270 Direct CU II OC 2gb GDDR5
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 1x8gb
Case: CoolerMaster Elite 120 Advanced

Please any input would help alot i was really looking forward to this pc but cant play anything because of the low fps.
Also i've seen on alot of threads things about installing drivers for the graphics card but cant seem to find them anywhere. If its not obvious by now im fairly new to this so any kind of help is appreciated :)

Oh and by the way i'm using a mac monitor so i have no clue if that has anything to do with my problem but just putting it out there just in case

Make sure you know your windows version, and if its 64 or 32-bit beforehand so you can choose the appropriate drivers.

This is the driver you want for your graphics card:

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-with-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit.exe

Get that installed.

Also, make sure your monitor is attached to the graphics card and not the motherboard (which will use the low end integrated graphics.

You should do all the windows update and update to windows 8.1 and then do all those windows update, this is probably the most common mistake that people do, not updating all the windows stuff before installing other software.

I built a budget PC like a month ago for my cousin with like $300 bucks and some spare parts I had around, just so he can play LOL. Before he played on a $400 bucks laptop and he was getting like 10-20 FPS and alot of stuttering.

The first time I installed everything before the windows update and alot of stuff were iffy and the AMD software won't even load. Then found a spare SSD and decided to do another clean install, but this time updated all the windows stuff first and everything was working great. Its just running an i3 and R9 270x, and he can play LOL with like over 150 FPS (we locked it to 60 though since thats what his monitor supports)
