Hello, so i am at my grandmas for at lest 3 more months until she starts getting better, and i have my xbox 360 with me. she only has one tv and its the one in her room and im fine with that. I brought my pc monitor which is this http://www.amazon.com/Gateway-19-5-Widescreen-Monitor-HX1953l/dp/B00E0NO9B4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1430928155&sr=8-3&keywords=gateway+monitor+hx1953l i did buy a dvi to hdmi > http://www.walmart.com/ip/Calrad-35-711A-HDMI-Female-to-DVI-Male-Adapter/21607738 ive seen posts on this site with the same questions and it seems to be working for everyone. but not for me. anyone have an idea on what to do ?

Thanks

Uhh, was your previous tv/monitor the xbox 360 connected to 1080p? if so, the current monitor doesn't support 1080p, so I think the xbox is trying to send a 1080p signal that the monitor can't read and thus won't display anything until you tell the xbox 360 to broadcast in 720p
