So I have a computer that has not been used in some time, most of the components in the computer were missing, I managed to gather the parts I needed. The components I managed to find were:
2 GB of RAM - 2x 1 GB sticks, same brand
2.0 GHz processor, already in place
160 GB HDD
AMD GPU - Not sure on the model
I have checked all of the cables and everything seems to be fine. But when I start it up the computer makes continuous long beeps, nothing shows on the display. The computer was originally an E-Systems brand.
I have no idea what is wrong with it, help would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
Yes, that is an HP/Compaq board made by Asus. But a continuous identical series of beeps in most boards points to a memory error. Try removing one of the sticks.

We need to know the exact series of beeps and the order they are in to look up the beep code. And we need to know the BIOS manufacturer. If that is unknown (because you get no display), maybe tell us the make/model of the motherboard. That should be printed boldly near the center of the board.

The beep no longer occurs when I remove a stick of memory. And the display is working! It begins to boot, but the hard drive is buggered, got another though!
Haha 1GB of RAM, what a shitty computer....
