Need help to see wether or not this graphics card is compatible with my system.

Looking to buy this card :http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127844&_ga=1.96811801.709585495.1430952526

Currently I have A:
500W PSU
i5 2320
Acer Inc IPISB-VR REV:1.01 motherboard
Nvidia geforce gtx 560
6 gb ram ddr3

Is this card going to be compatible with my computer ? It looks like to only takes a 6 pin connector but i'm not sure...

Any help is greatly appreciated .

It's a liteon 80 plus bronze model : PS-6451-5AE

I think the 960 that i linked only uses one 6 pin connector while the 560 i have now uses two, would i just connect one of those or ?

Oh and also, would i have to knock out another slot for this card ?

Not exactly a psu I would recommend, but, if it has been working with the 560 it will work with the new card.

You will only need to connect a single six pin to the gpu - it will get the rest of the needed power from the pci-e slot, and yes, you will need to knock out another slot - it is a dual slot (but single lane) card.

Actually, one more question, do you think my BIOS will read this card? I was told by someone on the phone that maybe if i had an older motherboard like i do, it may have a hard time reading the card. Which is weird because i have all the components to connect the card but could my BIOS actually read the card inserted ?

I personally dont own a gigabyte mobo, but i would bet that the their website would have some sort of utility for it.

Never turn off the computer when the bios update (flash) starts, it will brick your system. It should only take a few mins at most.

Its an acer mobo, and i'm probably just not going to do it if i can because i have no idea how or where to find the updates.. thanks for your help

Was planning on playing witcher 3 which the recommenced amount of ram is 8.

Under task manager i use

cached- 3177
available- 3658
free-529
