My computer is crashing without a bluescreen. Could this be an overheating issue? My computer runs for a certain amount of time (varies) and it starts to freeze, then crashes. It happened after I installed my new GPU
My specs:
CPU: AMD FX 8300
GPU: ASUS R9290-DC2OC
PSU: Corsair CX750M Modular Power Supply
If you need more, just ask.

Is it crashing during general use (surfing, word, etc) or gaming? If gaming, check your catalyst control panel and set a more aggressive fan curve on the gpu. Also, install hardware monitor and check your cpu/gpu temps.

It's crashing during both. I already have a GPU temp monitor installed on my computer, and the temperatures seem to be fine with the GPU. Any recomendations for software to use to monitor the CPU temp? I can alter the speed of my fan, maybe that will work. Thank you for the response. I'll update and see if this works.

I've never changed my CPU, I installed it, and the CPU fan came pre-applied with thermal paste

Have not overclocked CPU
The CPU is running at 61 degrees Fahrenheit upon startup, and
and I have not ran memtest86 to check memory. I'll run soon.
