So my family (not me) have supposedly had problems with the internet, and my dad is fed up and wants to know if he should replace the modem, or get a router, or get a new modem then add a router. Apparently (my mother says) (not a reliable source btw) that youtube vids take a long time to load (which they dont for me) and my dad wants webpages to load in a second, and apparently they take more than that (not by much I imagine) (he wants to get what he pays for) but anyway so should we do something, or just keep it, and tweak stuff. Because I did stuff on their devices and it worked for me, and I was able to download 20 gb games in less than an hour and GTA 5 in 1hr 45 Min. @ 12-15 MBps. (mind you i was wired to by ethernet) but having my pc downstairs now on wireless, i still have latency free gaming (titanfall and such) and I load vids (on phone and computer instantly). So any help would be appreciated.
