I'm planning on ordering parts for my first ever gaming PC in the next two days. I only plan on buying all parts from Newegg as there is no sales tax there. I've got a budget of around $1600 and so far this build is cheaper than that. However, if I can get the build cheaper without suffering any performance, I would certainly like to do that. A bit of background, I have never built a PC yet so this will be a new experience and I'm just hoping I don't mess anything up with my build (getting wrong parts, sockets, etc.). Maybe I can get some advice on my build along with any ideas or concerns you guys may have. I plan on using the PC mostly for maxing out all games (now and future) in 1080p and video editing/rendering along with casual Internet usage (websites,etc.). As mentioned earlier I'm considering to make my purchases in probably two days. Any help or suggestions towards this build is definitely appreciated.
Build: All current prices are from Newegg but do not include shipping (should be minimal).

TV/Monitor As of now I will only be using a 1080p 60hz Samsung 32 Inch TV. I will probably upgrade to 4K in a few years when things are more affordable. I'm hoping this TV won't hinder my gaming plans for now.

CPU Reason for choosing an i7 instead of an i5 is I plan on video editing/rendering heavily.

CPU Cooler Not sure how I feel about using liquid cooling but you can't beat the price and I plan on over clocking in the future.

Motherboard I'm hoping this motherboard will get the job done for this build or something that is similar in price. Also would like to mention I would like the idea of having a SLI motherboard for future availability. It would be nice to know I made a good choice here overall on the motherboard.

Memory In the RAM listed, PCPartPicker says, "The G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V)." I've read around and some reports say it matters and others say it shouldn't be a problem just that I got to fix it in the BIOS. Should this be a problem? Should I look for 1.5v RAM instead?

Video Card Planning on getting a 980 for sure. Either getting the Gigabyte G1 or the MSI Twinfrozr. Both are the same price.

PSU I'm hoping this will be enough wattage, even for SLI in the future, without maxing it out.

Sorry for the flood of information, I just got so many questions and need all the advice I can get for this.

Your build is very solid, only thing I would probably change is the CPU cooler and maybe the SSD.

The rest of your components should be fine. From first hand experience, the 1.65V is completely safe, there should be no problem running it. I have a pair of ram running at the exact same frequency and voltage as that one and it has been going strong for months.

The H50 is very average cooler, you won't get that good an overclock out of it. The 212 evo less than half the price and cools better than it. The only reason I would choose the H50 is for aesthetics. Only higher end liquid coolers show better temperatures than air coolers of the same prices.

For your SSD, I would suggest something from Samsung like the 850 evo, or Crucial, the...

Hope I helped.
