GPU died and I need to replace it with a budget of 200$

Graphics died (no post or 1 long 2 short beeps) which I think it died after 4 years.

I though between Radeon R9 280x or GTX 960, or please suggest something on your own with maximum budget of 200$ or less.

gtx 960 only if your psu cant handle the 280x.

280x is a league ahead of the gtx 960.

And about same prices too.
with the 280x you can play any game out there right now on ultra settings 1080p 60 fps average.

The 280x massivly out performs the 960 and has 3gb vram over the 960's 2gb.

Radeon r9 280x is a bit over my budget (canadian dollars). Are there any other GPUs you guys can recommend please?

r9 280, or 285 can usually be found much cheaper than the gtx 960, but perform on par, and sometimes better.

I'm from Canada as well, I assumed you were from the US because you asked about the 960 and 280x in a $200 price range. r9 270 is a better choice than 270x, it is same identical chipset on that silicon, just with lower clock rates.
Will save you money, and then you can easily oc it to the performance of 270x for free.
