I have recently purchased a Asus Geforce GTX 760 DC Mini small form graphics card to replace the stock MSI GT630 card I have in at the moment.

New card: http://www.asus.com/uk/Graphics_Cards/GTX760DCMOC2GD5/

My system specs are currently: MSI B75MA-P45 Mother board, i7-3770 CPU, 16GB 1330Mhz DDR3 RAM, MSI 630GT graphics card, 2 Hard drives, 1 DVD-RW drive, and a generic 450w PSU.

Will my current PSU cope with the GTX 760?, or do I need to upgrade my PSU. If so what wattage PSU do I need?

Also what will happen if I try and run the GTX 760 on my current PSU?

No. Nothing "cheap" will do. Cheap will kill your PC over time... or sooner. If you want to replace the PSU, let me know your max budget. I may be able to find a good quality low cost PSU for you.

It's not the total watts that is important. All the heavy load on the PC runs off the +12V circuit (or rail). That PSU would probably be... "OK" with its two +12 rails rated at 24A each. But from the specs, it is not a true 750W PSU. Treat it like a 450W PSU. A cheap one, at that. Those specs are what a good quality 450W would have. And Gold, Silver, Bronze means nothing to quality. That is simply an efficiency rating.

Your budget for a PSU is not what it should be to run a GTX 760. Let alone an OC model. Get the CiT and keep your fingers crossed, if you want. I can't recommend one at that price range. This is as low as I would feel comfortable recommending: http://www.ebuyer.com/630119-evga-500w-fully-wired-80-white-power-supply-100-w1-0500-kr

I've used the Evga 500W on a budget build recently. Seemed OK. And Johnny Guru gives it a passing grade: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=384

Hell, what happened to the £30 limit? If you can bust your budget, then get a good PSU. The CX line of Corsair uses inferior capacitors that fail with heat. This is slightly less and a class-A PSU.
