Hi,

After working for 5 hours to get everything installed (and I think properly) my computer now won't stay on.

I push the power button and it flashes on, all the fans start, the MB lights up for a second then shuts off. Not sure whats up.

I installed a new MSI Gaming 5 Motherboard, a L1500 4.0 ghz chip and an EVO Coolermaster 212 and EVGA 850 PSU. I thought maybe I had switched the reset button and power button connection - i tried that - that's not it.

how can i troubleshoot this? I also have two 770's SLI'd together. and 8 gigs of ram.

EDIT: I have two extra CPU power cords from the EVGA I'm not using. I have the PSU plugged into the MB with the big cable, and just the EVO Coolermaster fan plugged in.

Solution
"I have the PSU plugged into the MB with the big cable, and just the EVO Coolermaster fan plugged in." you need the 8-pin cpu power cable plugged into the motherboard for the system to post.
