Troubleshooting a Bluetooth Connection

I have an Alienware 17 laptop which I'm having trouble connecting to my Apple iPad 2nd generation. I managed to connect my laptop to my Samsung Note 3 but the most I can do is transfer files.

What my end game goal is to use my Laptops speakers as the speakers for either my phone or tablet when I listen to music or watch shows from various sources.

I've made sure to download the appropriate drivers from Dell's website (see link below) and I've tried uninstalling then re-installing them again without any luck. I'm starting to wonder if I need a third party Bluetooth application that will allow me to use the Bluetooth as mentioned above. Bottom line is I'm pretty much out of ideas, so I would appreciate some help from the community.

Thanks!

"use my Laptops speakers as the speakers for either my phone or tablet when I listen to music or watch shows"

Not possible. If your tablet and phone both have BT, you need a set of BT speakers.
Search results: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=BT+speakers&oq=BT+speakers&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.4893j0j8&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

So there's no "troubleshooting" involved. Your tablet & phone's BT is working properly, it's designed only for data transfer on those devices, not to transfer a sound signal.

I'm still a little confused. The reason being a while back I purchased a USB Bluetooth receiver for my desktop and it allowed me to stream music from my phone to my computer using Windows Media player. It also allowed me to transfer my microphone and audio when in a call. So it was using my desktops speakers for my phones audio.

I lost that device a while back, and with the purchase of this laptop assumed its Bluetooth would have the same functionality.

Are you saying my assumption that Bluetooth functionality is the same across Bluetooth devices is incorrect?

Attached is a similar device to the one I used to own. LINK: http://
