After facing the terrible truth that my new Gigabyte gtx 970 windforce 3x isn't compatible with the mobo of my hp (cause its clearly unsupported BIOS won't have any updates like since 2011... to let me enable the legacy support) I decided to get a new mobo that won't make me spend another 330 dollars.

Since I'm not in the mood to change my old fashioned intel i7 2600 non k, a reseller is offering me this piece: GA-H67MA-USB3-B3 (link: But the first thing that sets me alert is the "CrossFireX support for ultimate graphics performance" line I read in the web page and also the ATI white label it has next to the pcie x16 slot. The reseller is trying to convince me that it will be compatible with an nVidia gtx 970, but the page says nothing about GeForce cards but ATI (AMD now...).

My question is: Will the mobo be compatible with the gtx 970 card?

Cheers.

PD: It's pretty hard to find a mobo where my intel i7 2600 would fit this day. Amazon, eBay and other stuff like that is not an option since the aduana of my s**t country could likely lose everything that passes throught them.

2nd PD: Here's the link to my mobo http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02668523 and hp pc http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02880488 Note that I replaced the PSU for a CoolerMaster G750M bronze 80+

If u look careful near ati sign says ati crossfire x, that means that supports crossfire technology but doesnt support nvidia sli. OK long thing on short yes it will work with your gtx 970 but if u want a second 970 u wont be able to sli them, u need 2 ati gpu's to run in crossfire. If u dont plan to add a second gtx 970 then go for it, if u plan to add another gtx 970 then search for another motherboard.

Well, I'm buying the motherboard today. I hope it won't have any tricks to install correctly the gtx 970. My awful past experience almost made me cry when I noticed the three short peeps and one long issue.
