How can i remove the write protection on a micro sd card that i connect to my computer from a usb card reader, i don't have the SD adapter with the switch.

i have a Samsung Micro SD 32GB.

Press your Windows key and R together then in the Open box, type regedit and press Enter. Choose Export from the File menu thennote the name and location of the crucial back up you're about to make - you may need it if something goes wrong but if you follow these steps, nothing will.

Navigate to the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

Double click on the WriteProtect string and change the Value Data’box from 1 to 0.

If there are any spaces between the words '"StorageDevicePolicies'", remove them because they shouldn't be there.

Save, exit and restart the system and try your stick again.

ALSO TRY THE LOCK KEY LOCATED ON THE SIDE OF YOUR CARD READER...SWITCH IT TO THE OPPOSITE OF LOCK..UNLOCK..IT WRKED 4ME ON A 32GB ADAVNCEMICRO SD CARD
