Hy! My PC have this specs:

CPU: i3 2100
MB: GIGABYTE PA65-UD3 B3
RAM: 8GB Kingston hyperx 1600MHz
VGA: GIGABYTE R9 280
PSU: FSP HYPER 700W

I looked around on the market and find this bord: ASUS Z97-K. Is it OK?
Please help me figure out what CPU and MB combination should i buy! Both on Intel and AMD side.

Solution
that is a pretty good board, in the similar price range u can get a z87 board but a higher end one right now on newegg. Like the Z87 pro from asus is about $140. The z97-k is a good board tho. Usually paired with a i5 4690k, or i7 4790k for overclocking. Also a Xeon E3 1230 or 1231 or 1241 v3 is an i7 with no igpu but costs around an i5 and is not overclockable.

On the amd side, the best bang for buck would be the fx 8350 or 8320 and a gigagbyte 970 ud3p or asus m5a97 r2
