Hi,

I'm currently building my PC from scratch and I was wondering if this rig is actually a good one and is worth its price since I'm also trying to save more money from it. Could you guys suggest or comment on this build.

Main use: programming, casual gaming(Dota 2, Dragon age, CoD... etc)

Other use: Streaming, Photoshop and Magix Movie Edit pro(lately i haven't been doing this much but i'd like to explore it sometime in the future)

Just want a fast PC that has no problems switching to many applications(programming while playing and pausing a movie maybe or editing video or music--all at the same time).

Here's my current build:
Code:
*******************************************************************************************
CPU	:	Intel Core i5 4590 -	$178 / 8000pesos
MOBO	:	GIGABYTE B85MHD3 -	$82 / 3670pesos
RAM	:	8gb Fury 1600/1866mhz 2x4gb -	$79 / 3560pesos
GPU	:	(used for 1.5years)ASUS GTX 660 Ti DirectCu II -	$133 / 6000pesos
PSU	:	Corsair VS 550W -	$54 / 2430pesos
HDD	:	1.0TB WD Blue Sata3 7200rpm -	$61 / 2750pesos
SSD	:	Kingston HyperX3K 120gb -	$94 / 4210pesos
Casing	:	BitFenix Neos -	$54 / 2450pesos
Monitor	:	To be decided -	$111 / 5000pesos
******************************************************************************************
			                             Total:	$846 / 38070pesos

I'm trying to cut cost if possible without sacrificing performance or stability. I would've wanted a 23" monitor if possible(especially the Asus VX239H) but i don't know if it really is worth it.

Also, I have no plans in overclocking this rig. And maybe I could consider just getting a mobo with usb 2 if usb3 isnt that needed.

I'm located here in the Philippines.

Let me know your thoughts. :)

I think this is a bang for buck kind of rig which would work well for you. Stealthy black too.

@Yonose, I'm actually okay with the current price, but I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestion so I can cut cost or what.

@smorizio, H97 here in PH is really pricey + i don't intend to upgrade for the next 3-5 years I think.

All i want in a mobo is to have internal USB 3.0 and SSD compatible. :)

Is the 660ti you listed in your build yours, or are you buying it used?

And are there any DynaQuestPC, PC Express stores near you locally? As these are the shops I usually use as reference in builds in the philippines.

I could help with your build and keep the costs down as low as possible, as I live in the philippines and have an idea on how much the parts here cost.

Hey @Kwa-e, I'm actually from Cebu and yes there is a PC Express here. In fact the parts I listed is from the retail pricelist of PCX.

Thanks bro I do need some help, and maybe I should just get the H81 mobo instead despite losing the internal usb 3.0 because it isnt really that imp and also ist a $51(~2000php) difference.

Also, the 660 ti isnt mine. I'm buying it as second hand.

Hey @-HH-, I dont know if I can find an XFX TS550 here in my area tho. Does it have any advantages compared to CS VS550W?

Also, can u tell me why I should switch to a 750 ti? The 660 ti is better right?

True the 660 got more power, but the 750 ti have more power for the value.

But it seems like i was a little bit of with the build i made yesterday, here is a updated one, i could fit a MSI R9 290 just within the $850 range, think this is what you want.

If you are able to do this build, then i would go for this one.
