Hi, so I have asked multiple questions about my pc already and had some great help. Now that it's complete I just wanted to know if it will be a good pc for gaming. It was built on a budget so it's nothing special but it's my first build so I am really excited. Anyways here it is part by part:

Gpu: Msi r9 280
Cup: Intel i5 4590
Mobo: Msi H81M-P33
Ram: G. Skill Ripjaws X (2x4gb)
Psu: Xfx Ts 550w
heatsink: Raijintek Aidos
HDD: Seagate 1tb
Dvd: Asus burner
Case: rosewill challenger

So basecislly I just want to know how good will it be. Was my money well spent (about $650) or could I have gotten something better? Will it be able to run some high graphics games on high-ultra?(battlefield 3, skyrim, crysis 2, battlefield hardline and minecraft). And will all the parts work well together? Like would there be a "bottleneck"? How long do you think it will last before it can't run any new games and would need to be upgraded? Anyways I appreciate all the help.

Its a good build, no bottleneck and you should have no issues getting high/ultra on those games @1080P. Should last at least a few years before anything better is required. Just make sure to keep your drivers/BIOS & games up-to-date to avoid issues. You could of skipped on the cpu cooler, it wont be needed, and a better psu or H97 MB might have been better but all in all its good.

Thanks guys, unfortunately I did already order the parts so I won't be able to get a new mobo or psu. But when you guys say I could have gotten a better psu, do you mean better as in the current one I chose won't be able to handle the pc or that it sucks and it's gonna blow up?

If youre not carful it could create a mini nuke that blows up your town. But if you dont do anything crazy it wont blow up or anything and it can handle your build fine i think if you want to know for sure google psu calculater and see how much watts you need

Your chosen PSU is fine. All XFX PSUs are built by Seasonic, and afaik they do not know how to build a bad PSU. It is large enough as well.

Ezo, I've never heard of a Seasonic PSU "blowing up." They have the full range of protection circuits, so even if overloaded they'll just quietly shut down, doing no damage. They also tend to be underrated (good for more than their labels), and are built with all quality components, e.g. Japanese capacitors.
