Cyborg RAT 5 Profile Editor Not Working

So I downloaded the latest drivers from the Mad Catz website, got the right software (Windows 7 64bit, RAT 5) Installed and ran the profile editor then it crashed coming up with a message i could not read cause it went too quick, then said SmartTechnology.exe Has stopped working. Everything is upto date.
Any Help Appreciated.

uninstall the software, clean the registrey with something like ccleaner (run a couple of times till you get no more errors)

reboot and install the madcats software. making sure you run it with admin privs.

No that didnt work, followed the instructions but i still get the error.

then download an older version of the software. and install that... the new version just has compatablity tweaks for windows 8.1 and is not needed if your running 7 or 8
