SHORT VERSION

Just installed a BX100 SSD 500GB into my VAIO VPCSB from 2011 with i7-2620M and 8GB ram and Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I used the Macrium to Clone the old HDD. I followed this guide: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh4uRhWwZT0

I get an "operating system not found" after putting in the SSD.

MORE INFO

I can see the new hard drive in the bios with new 500 GB vs the old HDD of 700 GB. It took 3.5 hour to transfer just shy of 200GB in 2 partitions, one being a small system portion of 100mb.

I checked the cable, looks good. I can start the PC through the old hard drive in exclosure and with a little startup fix I can see the "new" SSD and open all my files so I believe they are there, but for some reason the computer cannot see the operating system.

I would be very grateful for help on how to boot from this.

I think you are both right. I did not have the Win 7 disk so I started using my old harddrive and ran boot repair. Now, when I start I see 2 operating systems
* "Windows 7 (windows)"
* "windows 7 professional (Recovered)

Only the recovered Win 7 works. I can also see them under system configuration (msconfig) under the Boot Tap.

Now, I can start but how do I get it to a normal setup?
