I currently have an msi r9 270 and was looking for an upgrade because I am having a low frame rate while playing gta V (7-9 when driving, 15 at night, 30 in day, minimum settings). I have a $250 budget and was wondering whether to buy another r9 270 or buy a gtx 960 4gb. power is not a problem (700w psu w/ 59 amps)(even if i do choose to get a 960, the 270 will also be in my rig because i have a large enough power supply)
All personal opinions are appreciated! Suggest other cards if you want too!
AMD FX-8320 (3.5GHz)
8GB ADATA XPG V2 1866MHz
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
700w 59amp Psu

Note: is it my CPU that is causing that low frame rate?

Solution
GTA V doesnt seem to like AMD CPU's. Namely the FX 6300 and up to the 8350. I would advise on getting a 970 and selling your 270 now. If you dont want to go through the hassle of selling, then another 270 sounds better than a 960.

If you want something just work get new card. Cf/sli is not for people that expect everything will work fine on the go. Always expect troubles. And early this year AMD did not release new driver for almost 3month after their omega late last year. So betweem that time there is no crossfire profiles for CF user for games that come out in 2015
