Skyrim: Weird performance drops all of the sudden?

So, I have an i7 4770k, 16 gigs of ram and a GTX 780. I used to run the game at an average of 70-90 frames outdoors and 100+ indoors. That was with Real Vision ENB, 2k textures, and some grass mods to increase density.

I ended up adding a bunch more mods but I don't think I added any other mods for a while, except for some game play and armor mods. and I would rarely get CTDs. One day I decided to try out a new enb (Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB). But for some reason the game wouldn't work with the wrapper version of the enb, so I had to use to injector. Ever-since then my performance has been terrible, I even got it to work with the wrapper version, but my performance was still bad. I went from 70-90 frames to 40-60, and allot of stuttering. For instance, I could be running the game at 62 fps and then when I move to another area, the frames drop to 25 and then back up, but this time it'll only go up to 40.

When I disabled the enb through the in game menu, my performance literally did not change. It was as if I was still running the enb, just without the effects. I'm not sure why this is happening. Even when I switch back to real vision, my performance drops. I have a AA and Anisotropic filtering off. I don't even have ambient occlusion enabled in the enb, and removing the grass density mod did nothing for performance. Please if you can explain why this might be happening I'd be really thankful.

fine. it's not your mods. and it's not skyrim. it's a mystery event that infected your gpu hardware.

My friend. there are only 2 things it could be
1) the mods are borked and need to be redownloaded and reinstalled
2) skyrim is borked and needs to be reinstalled.

take your choice. I believe one of the new mods damaged either skyrim or one of your other mods. and until that damage is found and fixed you will have to suffer with this hit to performance. I don't know what mods you have, and i'm not really a skyrim expert. I just have 20+ years in this business, and in my experience you can waste a weekend trying to find the problem and likely never find it, or you can wipe the whole mess out and start over... and be gaming...

The thing is, my game was working perfectly fine before. I uninstalled the one or two mods I had installed before the performance issues began to occur. I have ALOT of mods, and it would be a PAIN to have to re install them all over again. I don't really think it has to do with my mods, i rarely crash and when i completely remove the enb my performance does seem to improve
